At Burma Unique, we are proudly serving these mixtures of various, unique cultural flavors.
There are more than 135 different ethnic groups in Burma. The majority groups are The Chin, The Kachin, The Karenni (sometimes called Kayah), The Karen (sometimes called Kayin), The Mon, The Rakhine, and The Shan, each with its own unique history, culture, language and cuisine. Some Burmese dishes are blended with its neighboring countries flavors yet most has its own unique identity based on its various ethnic groups and its culture. For example, fermented Tea Leaf Salad is a traditional signature dish that is unique to Burma. Shan cuisine is the most popular due to its delicious, yet simple ingredients.
Branding, Space Planning, Website Design
Burma Unique is focused on cooking and serving delicious, authentic food and following that tradition. To begin this project, we worked on identifying key words: authentic food & tradition. Following these key words, we researched the characteristics of their culture and their colors. In particular, their leg-rowed boats were a unique characteristic of the Burmese way of life. That is why their logo became based on the leg-rowing fisherman.
Burma's life bursts with flavor and color in their cuisine. To translate that visually, we worked on designing beautiful photo grids that would showcase the beautiful, unique, and flavorful cuisine of Burma.
At the store location, we worked on branding the exterior to attract any potential passerby customers.
We further applied their branding to business cards, photographs, and designed a beautiful menu for them. To support their business further, we provided food styling and photography services to highlight their delicious food.
